Whistle your tames back to aggressive, and follow the argy. It will land again, and one or two more tranq arrows will finish it. Once it's down, I keep a perimeter of tames, which usually take the damage and destroy the threat without messing up the argy taming. Lots of valid ways to do this, and the argy trap is a good one.
